The Facilities Managers Federation (TEYFED) announced that a workshop titled "Regulatory Preparations for Facility Management Services" will be held on October 23, led by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change.
The workshop, taking place in Ankara, will feature contributions from TEYFED President Yahya Sağır, the founding chair of the Real Estate Development and Management Department at Ankara University, Prof. Dr. Harun Tanrıvermiş, the President of the Association of Professional Facility Managers, Ozan Özen, and representatives from the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce.
The workshop aims to develop new solutions and regulations to meet the needs of the facility management sector, contributing to the process of creating relevant laws and regulations.
Results from the workshop are expected to enhance the value of facility management services in residential sites, apartments, and collective living spaces in Turkey and improve the overall quality of the sector.
Evaluation of Criteria for Facility Management Companies
TEYFED President Sağır emphasized that the meeting would be a transformative step for the long-term growth and professionalization of the sector.
He mentioned that the workshop will discuss criteria such as the qualifications, classification, and oversight of facility management companies. "We will review the competencies and standards required for management companies and determine the criteria for their classification. We'll also focus on how the auditing mechanisms should operate," he stated.
Sağır noted that the current status of the sector and future development opportunities will also be discussed, alongside the evaluation of employees' professional education and development processes.
